If you have an idea that can be on the market in 2 years for a green company that slows down climate change, you can apply to this business plan competition in Amsterdam. You might win the first prize of $550,000 USD or a second prize of $220,000 USD.

Who Can Apply

  • Innovative entrepreneurs with a proven business plan that:
    • Reduces greenhouse gas emissions by an amount they can estimate
    • Is developed enough to execute and bring to market within 2 years
  • 18 years or older and fluent in English (pitches must be in English)

  • Quality of your elevator pitch
    • Who you and your team are
    • Brief description of your business
    • Why you are the one to make this a success
  • Innovation, sustainability, communication potential, courageousness, and creativity
  • SWOT Analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, Threats)
  • Market size, structure, and potential
  • Use of Cradle2Cradle design principles

Application Process

  • Written application via your free YouNoodle account
  • 2-minute online pitch video
  • PowerPoint pitch deck (5 slides)
  • Preliminary jury selects 25 nominees and narrows them down to 5 finalists
  • Finalists pitch to the international jury in Amsterdam
  • International jury selects winner and runner-up

Conditions

  • Must create legal entity/corporation to receive winnings
  • Be willing to bring it to market yourself
  • Make the necessary commitments to develop the product or service
